Software for manufacturers · Birmingham

Factory software, ready to run or built to fit.

Start with Woerka's ready-made modules for checks, actions, maintenance, quality and OEE. Use one on its own or connect all five. Where your process needs something different, we build it and link it to the systems you already have.

The demo opens your own copy of a fictional factory. No sign-up.

Where the hours go

Most operations run on workarounds nobody chose.

Nobody sets out to run a factory from a whiteboard and three spreadsheets. It happens one reasonable fix at a time. The cost shows up as re-keying, chasing and finding out too late.

  1. Data typed in twice

Figures written on paper at the line, then typed into Excel or the ERP at the end of the shift. Twice the effort, twice the errors.

  2. The spreadsheet only one person understands

The workbook that plans production or holds the quality log, held together by macros and one person's memory.

  3. Finding out tomorrow

Downtime, scrap and late jobs discovered in next week's report, long after anyone could have done anything about them.

The Woerka platform

One failed check. Every team that needs to know.

When an operator fails a start-up check, Woerka raises the follow-up work in each module you have, and links every record back to the check. Nobody re-types the problem.

CNC-04, CNC lathe

Fail Coolant pressure at the turret: 2.8 bar spec 4–6 bar

Submitted by Kyle Robinson, machine operator

  1. ActionsAn action for the cell leaderStop the machine, hand it over and quarantine the late shift's parts. Closed with the evidence noted.
  2. MaintenanceA breakdown job on CNC-04Coolant pump replaced and strainer cleaned, with the parts and time logged.
  3. OEEDowntime: failed start-up checkOpened when the machine stopped, closed when the job was done: 2h 40m.
  4. QualityAn issue for 37 parts from the late shiftQuarantined, checked on the CMM, root cause found with 5 whys, then signed off.
Every record links back to the check, and each keeps its own history. From the demo factory, Brindley Precision Components, which is fictional. Follow this story in the demo.
  1. Start with one module

Each module works on its own. With Checks alone, a failed check is flagged on the Checks board for someone to pick up.

  2. Add the next when you're ready

Turn on another module and it uses the same machines, people and records, and starts linking to what's already there.

  3. Everyone sees their part

Operators on a phone at the machine, maintenance on the job board, quality on the issue, managers on the dashboard.

Ways to woerk together

Published prices for custom work.

Every custom project gets a written scope and a fixed price after the process review, before any work starts.

The Woerka platform is priced per factory, depending on the modules, sites and people you need, and agreed after a call.

How pricing works

  1. Quick Woerka £1,500–£3,000 One focused tool for one process e.g. paper job cards moved onto a tablet
  2. Busy Woerka £3,000–£6,500 A system for a whole team's workflow e.g. a non-conformance system with sign-offs
  3. Hard Woerka £6,500–£12,000 Systems linked to your machines or ERP e.g. live OEE boards fed by your machines
  4. Passive Woerka Monthly Hosting, support and small changes e.g. keeping a system you rely on patched and backed up

Four ways to woerk together. Fixed prices, inc. VAT.

How a project runs

From first conversation to a system your team uses every day.

  1. Free consultation

A 30-minute call or visit. You tell us what is slowing the team down; we tell you honestly whether software is the answer.

  2. Process review

We spend time where the work happens: the shop floor, the office, the spreadsheet. We map the process as it really runs, not as the procedure says.

  3. Fixed-price proposal

A written scope, a fixed price and a timeline. What is included, what is not, and what we need from you.

  4. Build with your team

Short cycles with working software you can click through every week or two. The people who will use it shape it.

  5. Launch and refine

We roll out in stages, train your team, and stay close for the first weeks while the rough edges come off.

Experience

Built inside a working factory, not a lab.

Woerka grew out of in-house work at one of the world's largest manufacturers, building the tools its factories actually run on. That is the experience you get.

  1. OEE and production performance platform

A web-based system giving operators and managers a clear view of production efficiency and OEE, running on the local network and built to be the foundation for wider factory digitalisation.

  2. Replacing a vendor workflow platform

An internal workflow and approvals system built quickly around the real business process, replacing an expensive third-party platform and its ongoing licence costs.

  3. Rolling out AI tools, safely

Rolling out Claude Code and other AI tools to technical and non-technical staff in a corporate environment, so people who know the process can build and automate their own tools, with attention to data security, governance and appropriate use. Plus an internal assistant that answers questions from company documents.

  4. Standardising manufacturing data

Consistent definitions and data structures for performance measures across processes and locations, so the shop floor and head office read the same numbers.

Built in-house at a UK site of one of the world's largest manufacturers, not as Woerka client projects. We don't name the business, share its data or reuse its code. We bring the experience.

Questions

The straight answers.

Anything else? Ask us directly.

What is the Woerka platform?

One Woerka account for your factory, with five modules: Checks, Actions, Maintenance, Quality and OEE. Each works on its own; together they pass problems between teams automatically. You can try all five in the factory demo at mycompany.woerka.com.

How much does the platform cost?

The platform is priced per factory, depending on the modules, sites and people you need, and agreed after a call. The published prices on this site are for custom software.

How much does custom software cost?

Most projects fall between £1,500 and £12,000 including VAT. Small single-purpose tools start at £1,500; connected systems with ERP or machine integration are typically £6,500 to £12,000. You get a fixed price in writing after the process review, before any work starts.

Do we own the software?

Yes. You own the source code and all of your data. There are no per-user licence fees for software we build for you.

Can it run on our own server?

Yes. Systems run in a web browser and can be hosted on a server at your site or on managed hosting we look after. Many manufacturers prefer to keep production data on site.

Will it work with our ERP?

Most ERP and MRP systems can be connected through an API, the database or file exports. We check exactly what is possible with yours during the free process review.

How long does a project take?

A focused tool usually takes a few weeks. Team-wide systems take one to two months, and connected production systems two to three. You see working software every week or two throughout.

What happens after launch?

We stay close for the first weeks to iron out the rough edges. After that, Passive Woerka covers hosting, backups, updates and small improvements for a fixed monthly fee, if you want it.

Do you only work in Birmingham?

We are based in Birmingham and visit sites across the Midlands. We work with businesses anywhere in the UK, with visits where they matter.
